If you're too much of a coward to do your job, then quit.

Thanks, Stefan. I had completely forgotten that poem, and I still barely remember writing it. Glad you liked it!

This morning at Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HQ in DC as mandatory return to office began, this video played on loop for ~5 mins on screens throughout the building, per agency source.

Building staff couldn’t figure out how to turn it off so sent people to every floor to unplug TVs.

The Rolling Stone story is from January, so there's no reason to think it will suddenly provoke a response from Taylor Swift today, eight months later.

You are aware, are you not, that for the first 144 years of our country women did not have the right to vote? And even when it happened, opponents of the 19th Amendment still existed and questioned its wisdom. So sadly we do have a history and tradition of questioning that right.

Which is the most dangerous to encounter in the woods? A man, a bear, or RFKJr with a bear?

I love them, I really do, but I wish they had written "like cole and ME" and "with Dough and ME"!

Of course. But that doesn't change the fact that the debate turned Biden into a candidate who is almost certain to lose to Trump. Biden saved us from Trump once by running, but now he has to save us again by withdrawing. It doesn't matter if it's fair. We have to keep Trump from the White House.

Not really. I watched all 90 minutes of Biden, whom I love, but I was in pain the whole time. He didn't just make a few gaffes, but displayed a cognitive and physical decline for all 90 minutes, not just for a few moments that the press was taking out of context.

Instead of "of all talents," couldn't he simply have written "talent"? That's three words where one would do.

Why don't they stop him?

How divinely decadent of you!

It's only schadenfreude if you are happy when bad things happen to someone who hasn't harmed you and poses no threat to you. Since Trump is a danger and a threat, being happy at his setbacks is just common sense.

Passive income is income that is generated after the work is done. It doesn't mean that you didn't work hard for it and actively earn it when you were doing the work. "Passive' doesn't mean that it's an unearned windfall or a product of mere luck. It's a term of art.

But all "passive income" starts with something of value that you already own and which produces income without your having to do anything further. After all, royalties are paid even after you die, and you can't be much more passive than that!

Tell me, what other ethnic groups that say they are facing discrimination do you mock for saying so? Do you go around telling women they are no worse treated than men? Do you tell Black people that racial discrimination is all in their heads? To deny antisemitism is to be antisemitic.

No, he is absolutely right. He was totally unfit to be president even before the brain worm, so the brain worm changes nothing.

I would, but I don't want to waste the electricity.

I wonder how much electricity is used by social media? I bet social media posts criticizing and attacking AI put a strain on the grid as well.

Please explain what you mean by "stolen images." Is there a difference between "training" on an image (something human artists routinely do when they study other artists and copy their art as classroom exercises) and actually copying an image that, on its face, infringes another copyright?

Makes me nostalgic for the days when Republicans merely strapped their dogs to the roof of their car.

It's a great song, no? You can find it on YouTube. But my favorite version by far is by Johnny Cash. Not the least bit terrifying! www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AzO...

Signed contracts are not the only source of contractual obligations. There may be an oral contract, or an implied contract based on partial performance, or promissory estoppel, or any number of legal theories. Yes, a signed contract would make it tidier, but it's not the only way to skin the cat.

Someone should send Hamas a heartbreaking image to get them to release the innocent hostages. And we should recognize that Israel isn't the only bad guy here. It was Hamas that deliberately provoked the attack, and it is Hamas that continues to hold innocent Israeli children in tunnels.

It's an extremely common expression in the US as well, nothing anyone would think of a "British" in particular.
