in the softness
of the morning light
the world feels
simple and right

The cold rain falls heavy and unrelenting, like the ache I carry. Sadness, doubt, and the quiet fear of being unseen wrap around my ankles like roots, pulling me down. And now, as I sit here listening to the patter against my window, I can’t help but wonder will I ever bloom again?

I adopted these. They will have a nice new happy home in my backyard. This makes me smile. 🌺🌸🌱

Life, it seems, didn’t arrive all at once. It crept in softly, in compromises and putting others first, until one day she looked up and the world she imagined was gone, replaced by the one she had quietly made through settling. And she wondered how she let herself get there.

There was once a girl with grass stained knees and dreams too big for the small life she lived. A girl who swore she’d never trade her freedom for comfort, her wonder for duty. Now she counts the weeks by grocery trips and paying bills.
