I added an "on this day" to my blog archive page that you can click on. It is mostly for me because I determined that I am my main audience so I am making it easy for me to find things. :)

I believe you on to something. I love something that @5t3ph.bsky.social said in an article last year. "...it's never clear cut and certainly not simple" when choosing the "right" HTML element for your coding solution.

I wrote some thoughts as I engaged the question, should a hero be contained within a <main> element? I watched one of @kevinpowell.co's latest videos and revisited an article from @5t3ph.bsky.social in the process. Loved her conclusion.

So are you saying if the hero contains the title of the page in a main heading that the hero should inside of 'main'?

Should a hero (header) be contained within <main>? I do not think it should based on the semantic meaning of <main> as the dominant content within the body. But I would like to hear some other thoughts. @cferdinandi.bsky.social @kevinpowell.co @chriscoyier.net @matthiasott.com @hidde.blog

My daughter likes to watch Stray Kids and other videos with us at night and our TV is logged into my account. So my feed is quite an interesting mix. :)

@cferdinandi.bsky.social Thank you so much for the color-mix tip (gomakethings.com/mixing-color...). I refer back to it about every two weeks now. It is my favorite tool for darkening or lightening colors for buttons and other things.

I also want to put together a page of archived animation work I have done. I have reproduced a couple of things recently that are no longer online or not publicly accessed.

I have a similar page but I have not updated it in a long time. I called mine "The Sandbox" because I loved playing in my sandbox as a kid. This motivates me to want to update this page and make it more like yours with thumbnails.

I am really bummed to find out one of my favorite examples of a scroll-driven animation site has been redone. And it comes up blank in the Internet Archive. I wish I had used Site Fetcher to grab a copy of it.
