I've been binning off streaming in favour of intentionally buying blurays and I've had similar conversations. Friends – who might themselves collect vinyl – often ask why I bother when everything is right there on streaming. It's wild how quickly the idea of convenience has normalised subscriptions

Bit of a random question before I start googling.

Does anyone know of any institutions that fund research grants for technology? Work that is along the lines of "I want to research what effect X thing would have on the overall web if it was implemented in the web platform."

As a language-nerd who has worked on a bunch of multi-lingual web projects, it bugs me how so many frameworks and tools seem to see internationalisation as an afterthought. With that in mind, it's really refreshing to see a tutorial that treats multi-language content in such detail
