Caroline graduated from Notre Dame University this Spring where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a Minor in Journalism, Ethics and Democracy. We are very proud of her hard work, accomplishments and the woman she has become! Great things ahead.

Remembering my mother on Mothers Day. I'm not sure when my parents started going to Cape Cod but it became a memoriable part of my childhood and early adult life. I'm certain this photo was made a decade before I was running around the beach! Happy Mothers Day to all you moms out there.

Clokakilty is small and not super exciting but we met a couple from the North and ended up traveling together for 3 days. Very special memories. I think Michael Collins was bore there because I was well regarded in various places my name was used. Ha. Have a great trip. I'm following along :)

At the time I thought, thank God we live in a Democracy. Then the President of the United States made 3 planes full of people “disappear” with no due process and students were arrested and detained for protesting or authoring Opinions. Again, no due process.

Simply put, Pinochet was cruel and was responsible for abducting, torturing and murdering Chileans that protested his authority. This photo shows a wall of the “Disappeared”- some of thousands of people who were never seen again. Some were thrown from an airplane over the ocean. (continued)

We visited Santiago Chile while Caroline was studying there for a semester. We toured the Memory and Human Rights Museum and it was extremely powerful. Between 1973 and 1990, my school aged years + college, Chile was a Dictatorship at the hands of General Pinochet. (continued in comments)

Thank you for posting on Bluesky. I'm trying to stay off Facebook and apparenly doing a good job of it because this happened last week and I was unaware until now.

One of my first jobs as a photographer was at the Cortland Standard. In hindsight, one of the best beats for a newspaper photographer. I wasn't there long but it helped shaped my journalism career. Big loss for the area that's between Syracuse and Ithaca and not usually covered by others.

Taxation without representation

Family get together recently at Smith College to cheer Catherine and her team on. She ran great and I dusted off the cameras forgetting the challanges of indoor track photography.

There is some truth to this. Every hour for the past 30 days my wrist as rattled with more bad news. I have dialed the alerts down. I read the news several times a day. I don't need the fire alarm every hour because it could make me immune from true reaction to bad news. I can't be in constant fear
