I felt that Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is a diet version of the game that never really takes the training wheels off, more concerned about the destination than the journey. Easy to drink, but doesn't taste as good.

I've got a lot I want to say about the creation of this thing, which wriggled and writhed and was desperate to get itself made.

But for now, I'm just going to breathe a little.

Inverse's Gaming section is being shut down as the company "divests" from gaming content. I'm out of a job along with my wonderful co-writers. I've put my heart and soul into this job for four years. Gonna need to take time to process, but I'm now completely open for work - and boy do I need it.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins' Visions of Four Heroes DLC provides a good reason to revisit the game if you enjoyed its moment to moment gameplay, though the closed off nature of its mini campaign arcs does make the whole experience a bit hollow at its core. Our review: www.rpgsite.net/review/19370...
