So cool. This 1967 game has a starting position so close to my self-published game, Rowin. Although the board looks different, Rowin is playable with a checkers set and three dice. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/43...

I scanned drawings and did minor edits digitally. And yeah the art style was chosen because I knew I could pull it off. Really happy with the result.

While thrifting on Black Friday, I came across a copy of Swoggle (an uncredited word game from the 1980’s) but held off because I’m eagerly waiting for my copy of Cross4 by @amabel.bsky.social . Also the Swoggle box was enormous.
I mean designed it. 🤦

If you told me a year ago my weird little abstract I fully expected to be one-and-done at Indie Game Night Market would have had this much success, I wouldn’t believe you!!
I hope everyone sees this as a proof for indie game releases as a legitimate pipeline for both Hobby and Mass publishers!!!!!!

When in Philly for #PAXUnplugged ...make a pilgrimage to one of the great game publishers of our time: Button Shy Games! Take the PATCO to Westmont, walk to BSG and stop at the many craft beer purveyors along the way! Then play all the games you buy ay Button Shy at the beer places on the way back!
