each second month I spend a week or two on a comic for the €5 patrons. this is that exclusive from november, now released to the public! (I always have 2 unreleased)

The Aaa' Nah, or Spooky Birds, are a sapient species of Dragon Bird. Close taxonomic relatives include Griffins and Hippogriffs. Aaa' Nah are adapted for dark environments, and are commonly found in cities built on the undersides of islands. They are believed to come from the Twilight Layer.

The Bubble Dragon is a creature native to Kakuik's marshes and Wetlands. Though commonly found in the Wetlands Cluster in the Daybreak Layer, they are most common in the Whaleshadow Cluster in the Goldilocks Layer, with a particularly lively population on Misty Falls Island.

Kakuik is my take on a "Sky Islands" type setting, where the primary inhabitants are bird people. I'm trying to develope a rich world and culture, and I'll be posting more art as I make it.

The Ildra'kine (illegitimate Children of the dragons) from Kakuik, otherwise known as Kobolds, are diminutive creatures that are hybrids of Dra'kine and Kakuik Nah (birds of Kakuik). They live for 250 years and can levitate in order to navigate the treacherous sky island reefs.

The Astrin Nah, or "String Birds", are a sapient species of spiders that are native to Kakuik. They are purveyors of fine silk, and are always looking to trade. Their appearance can be unsettling, though, so many centuries ago, they learned how to shift their forms to ease the bird people of Kakuik.

The Dra'kine, or "Children of the Dragons", are a species of immortal dragon people. They are a reclusive people, found only in large amounts near the very edge of the light circle. Being immortal, but not invincible, they highly value safety. When you're immortal, accidents are bound to happen.

The Keres are a group of disgraced Valkyries native to Kakuik. They live primarily at lower altitudes, and were cast out of the higher islands due to their lack of faith, thousands of years ago. They have many illusory eyes on their feathers, a trait they share with other creatures from their clade.

Fire, or Pixies, are tiny folk that grow on trees. They are flowers of a plant called a pixie tree. These tiny people are well renounded for their magical prowess, and are highly sought after for their small size, which allows them to enter and manipulate machinery in places where large hands can't.

The Kikina'o, or "Clicking Jaws", are a species of sapient insect native to Kakuik. They are underground dwellers, making their homes inside the floating islands of Kakuik. This is because they were once prey creatures to the predators above. Now, they export honey for the other people of Kakuik.

The Wetlands Cluster is the largest Marsh environment in Kakuik. This is due to the constant rains from both Kakuik's Wrath and the Gigas Sea below. This is thought to be the point of origin for the Frutta, or Goblins. This is supported by the presence of Frutta Vale, which is populated by Goblins.

The Sand Sea Cluster contains sand with a special ability to emit magic energy on the wavelength of time. As such, localized Wormholes form here that allow travel into the distant past, but only on Sand Sea Island. Many creatures have been brought to the future from this time period.

The very topmost layer of Kakuik's lit zone, the Daybreak Layer is a sparsely populated locale. Most of the islands here, with no shade hours, are deserts and plateaus. Though, moisture from below does gather in the areas directly above the oceans. Kakuik's Wrath has raged for centuries.

The Volcano Cluster has three islands, each of which is made up of Growstones that produce a lot of heat. They are hypothesized to have drifted from outside of the lit zone. The Azarith were introduced into the lit zone from this cluster.

The Seaside Archepelago is notable for its low density of Volentanum alloys, which causes it to float not on air, but on the waters of the Gigas Ocean instead. This is a place where the Shi-Sorah regularly interact with air-breathers, and so it was chosen to be the Shi-Sorah Embassy.

The Goldilocks Layer is the second highest layer of Kakuik's lit zone. It's the area with the highest biodiversity, and has multiple floating oceans, some of which are big enough to extend into the layer below. The Kakuik Nah are native to this layer.
