Based on the reactions of those I saw, getting an autonomous vehicle in San Francisco is just the same as haling an Uber or any other form of transport.
Theyβve become so common place, ordinary and in a way, boring, which is a great sign that this technology is ready.

#NVIDIAGTC also gave me an opportunity to take my first spin in one of Waymoβs autonomous cars. These things are incredible.

Volvo reconstructs crashes with AI in virtual worlds to make safer cars
Massive parallel testing means Volvo can work through lots of unusual scenarios.
#NVIDIAGTC was the perfect place to tell our tech transformation story.
Specially how Volvo Cars uses an advanced computational technique calledΒ Gaussian splats (maybe my favourite tech buzzword ever) to develop safety software.

I'm fashionably late with this. But last week was one for the memory books.
It was my first time at a Global reveal of a software-defined vehicle, the new ES90.
Being able to deliver a software-defined vehicle is one thing. A HUGE thing.
But understanding why youβre doing it is another.

The 2025 Volvo ES90 Has 435 Miles Of Range, But That's Not The Best Part
Volvo's flagship electric sedan gets at least one huge upgrade over the EX90 SUV.
It's been a big few months at Volvo Cars as we move closer to the reveal of the new ES90.
Here is a top write up on @insideevs.com.
"The ES90 runs on a new, sophisticated electric architecture, making it a total range and charging monster."

The 4 Delays For Software-Defined Vehicles
It's been 13 years since Tesla launched what would now be known as the first Software-Defined Vehicle. And many executives are asking why few competitors have arrived.
A powerful read on Forbes this morning.
Joann Muller of Axios: β[The] friction point is the tech sector likes to βmove fast and break things,β [while] cars need to be safe and high-quality. Reconciling the two imperatives isnβt easy.β
