It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon on a panel
at CamCOP organised by students at Cambridge University. Impressive enthusiasm as well as scepticism about corporate environmental ‘solutions’ which generally don’t benefit communities.

The real agenda behind shutting down humanities and promoting STEM.

Intelligent women are looking to make the world a better place. They vote for good things that limit the evil that men are trying to get away with.

Get Palantir out of Britain.

This was a really brave speech by @charlotte2153.bsky.social on the Courts & Tribunals Bill

And really glad someone said this, and so powerfully:

“experiences like mine feel like they’ve been weaponised and are being used for rhetorical misdirection”

Curtailing jury trials is not the answer.

Reaching net zero by 2050 ‘cheaper for UK than one fossil fuel crisis’ Climate change committee finds move to renewable energy would also bring health, economic and security benefits

"Achieving the UK’s net zero target by 2050 will cost less than a single oil shock and bring health and economic benefits while insulating the country against future costs, the government’s climate advisers have forecast."

U.S. Air Force B-1 And B-52 Bombers Now Striking Iran From The UK The U.S. Air Force now operates three distinct bomber aircraft, all of which can trace their development back to the Cold War.

US bombers loading up on UK airstrips before raining down bombs on Iran.

Parliament wasn't consulted - and polling shows huge numbers oppose it.

When do MPs get a say over our involvement in this war?

How democratic is the UK? The UK has a crisis of democracy

A glimpse of UK democracy

The Public Authorities (Fraud, Error and Recovery) Act 2025 empowers the state to 24/7 snoop on bank accounts of benefit recipients.

The poor, old, sick have no financial privacy.

The same does not apply to enablers of tax abuse schemes.

We are all equal, aren't we?

Proposed law change will protect abusive men who push women to suicide, campaigners warn Charity criticises new measures that would make it harder for inquests to pass verdict of unlawful killing

"Ministers want to make it harder for inquests to pass verdicts of unlawful killing, which have been crucial in getting justice for women who committed suicide after suffering abuse."

I don't think anyone expected Labour would change course after its electoral drubbing but this is 🤯

In 1968 Finland banned for profit education, the few private schools that exist in Finland have to reinvest any profit they make or pay it back to parents.

It has been in the Top 3 in education for the last 20 years.

There should be no profit in education or healthcare.

@jeremycorbyn.bsky.social to govt minister Darren Jones: "I find this faux outrage about Mandelson really astonishing. He was a man who was closely involved with the current PM & the leadership of the Labour party ever since Tony Blair"

Not every leader, eh Jeremy!

So Darren Jones responds that had Starmer known what the House now knows about Mandleson, he would never have been appointed. But surely the point is that we can now see that Starmer did know what the House now knows. More lies from a corrupt PM.

(Am pretty sure I warned about this at the time of his US ambassador appointment…)

The Hinkley C UK nuclear reactor will produce 3.2GW, it will cost £50bn.

For that the UK could have built 40GW of Wind Turbines in 1/5th of the time.

Which would even on the least windy days of the year produce TWICE as much electricity.

Nuclear is an unnecessary RIPOFF.
