Worcester's record-breaking female aviator A pair of researchers are on a mission to make Sheila Scott a household name.

I’m sure my library colleague, Tom Mandall, & Jasmine Kee from Explore the Past, have had a fab evening tonight delivering this talk. Wish I could’ve been there! #Worcester www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I would be so ashamed to use generative AI, here’s why Generative AI (“genAI”) is not harm-free and I do not think the benefits outweigh the harm in its current iteration. I compiled my thoughts about genAI here to keep all the cited sources straight and ...

You'll find a truly mammoth list of other GenAI issues (with examples and links) on @skwinnicki.bsky.social's site, here:

What a fascinating and thoughtful history of Merl and the University. So many things we didn’t know - all entertainingly discussed. Fascism and organic farming, who’d a thunk it! Never did get to dress up in printers’ aprons or artists’ smocks, though.

Neither doorway nor corbels mentioned in the (1958 - presumably influenced by Pevsner’s disregard for the Romanesque) HE listing!

Church of SS Peter & Paul, Rock, Worcs #romanesque corbels on N side & also where main doorway is. Several paired corbels, a few animals & possibly some human representations. A few of those ‘not arrow-sharpening’ grooves on the lower walls, too.

Only if you’re ‘measuring’ a certain way. Steiner kids don’t even start formal reading till they’re 7, and it’s not a problem (in fact, a benefit! More creativity & play). Same in Scandinavian countries. What’s more significant is the lack of contact with others that Covid restrictions caused.

UK's first 'super-university' to be created as two merge from 2026 - BBC News Universities are facing ongoing financial worries, with the regulator saying other mergers could follow.

Not the only institutions to do this over the next couple of years, I’m sure. The idea of a ‘super-University’ is nonsense, stated in a bid to try and make this sound like a good thing. Oh dear …
