I love Dan Carlin’s stuff on, well everything, but especially WWII. He researches like mad. Reads the letters from the soldiers, references all manner of books on it. He also likes to jumps sides and change perspectives. He’s great at putting you in the soldier’s shoes, on the battlefield.
