Since 2008, the avg age of NY’s incarcerated population has risen by 4 years. Those 60+ have grown in number and as a share of the total population.

Cannabis Tax Revenue Update: Local govts received almost $15.4M from 578 dispensaries statewide in the Q4 of 2025. This brings total tax revenue to just over $87M since local distributions started in April 2023.
