The State Department is accepting public comments through the end of this week for people to submit their concerns about the new passport policy that forces trans and intersex to out themselves any time they have to show ID. And they're required to review every comment before taking action.

There’s so much bummer stress right now, I decided it would help me stay hopeful if I celebrated more random holidays. So yesterday I delivered cupcakes and a card to my dentists office. Happy Dentist Day!

5. Protest, call your representatives, show up to town halls, shout even if it is just on social media. Use your voice. Say No, Not This.
We do what we can, in part to keep ourselves whole. May you know yourself whole, may you know yourself beloved. We're in this together, you are not alone.

4. Assess what you have to give to help your neighbors in need. Can you volunteer or donate to the local food bank, for instance?

3. Don't buy anything from big corporations that you don't need. Write to the businesses that you would have bought from and tell them Why you are not buying now and what they could do or change to win you back. (Restore DEI, put pressure on the administration around a policy, etc)

2. Check on your friends. Who have you not heard much from recently? Who might want to go on a walk with you or have a phone call? Or invite them to go to a march or protest with you.

1. Breathe. Stretch. Personally I'm leaning into more yoga videos in the morning before I turn on the news.

Things are hard, I know. Our hearts are breaking and we have already lost so much. People and the environment are in danger. The world that we know is possible and we've worked to build is being damaged and made less probable. So what can we do? Suggestions in comments
