The letter says the inspection could not be completed due to:
✅ housekeeping
✅ clutter
✅ sanitation issues
✅ tenant refusal
and the one unchecked box was “loose animal”
So here’s how I know this is BS:
a) nobody visited my apartment
b) my very excited dog was loose in the apartment /5

That same week, a paper flyer was put on everyone’s door that said that bedbug mitigation was going to take place on 11/08. Because notice was given in a timely manner in accordance with NYS law, I let them in. The custodian was not with the bedbug team, and they were in and out… /3
On 11/05, she sent a text message to tenants after 9p that said the pest control company was coming at 9a on 11/06.
So when the custodian and the pest people knocked on my door the morning of 11/06, I politely declined their visit because 24 hrs notice was not given. /2
The apartment complex where I live got a new property manager about a year ago. Since then, she has regularly entered apartments a) without 24 hrs notice, and b) while tenants aren’t home to consent to her entering without 24 hrs notice. /1
