The thing is this: a lot of folks online understand that antisemitism is one of the only ways to get a world largely indifferent to Palestinians as people to care about the plight of Palestine by selling it as sticking one to the Jews.
They *want the animating vigor of antisemitism.* Just deniably.
I don’t begrudge people going to safer places, but it does really annoy me when Timothy Snyder starts talking about what “we” should do from his comfortable university job in Canada, especially because it always comes with the vague implication that the rest of us can’t see what’s *really* going on

Pushback is working.
We are winning.
Keep fighting.
Be creative.
Push for what you'd want.
Allow for insiders and outsiders.
Realize that change takes time.
Reduce harm in the meantime.
