Cover of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction Volume 1, Summer 2025, with Nnedi Okorafor, Maurice Broaddus, Justin C. Key, Matthew Kressel & Mercurio D. Rivera, John Shirley, Inda Lauryn all listed on the cover. A Black cyberpunk-ish figure is in the front, full, long dreadlocks, trench coat, having pulled a sword with an umbrella handle from its sheath, against a futuristic cityscape and a stunning orange-red sky with turquoise touches.

Just posted "By the Numbers 10: Why We Need To Count on Each Other" to my site!

This was published in the recent F&SF (Summer 2025, edited by the amazing Sheree Renée Thomas aka @shereereneethomas.bsky.social ) and is posted with permission of the publisher.

Finally starting Jon Tattrie's bio of Charles Saunders, To Leave a Warrior Behind. It is unexpectedly mysterious, has a gravity. & then seeing people I have known-- @fiyahlitmag.bsky.social, @shereereneethomas.bsky.social -- alongside? What a strange feeling of being a finger's length from history.

The book cover to Nine Bar Blues by Sheree Renee Thomas. The covet is black with neon green and yellow drawings. In the chimney is a purple circle that looks like an album. The circle is outlined with a thick neon yellow ring. The title of the book is on the album circle under a yellow trumpet

This book is music. The stories pull you in & sit in your mind like a great song. @shereereneethomas.bsky.social

JuliananneLouise, I am a human being first, and if you seek positivity and light, you should move with positivity & light. Your tone was neither of those things, not professional or constructive.

It was deliberate, misplaced snark posted on an unrelated review celebrating other authors.

I find it interesting that you can always find me to complain, but SOMEHOW you can never quite find the actual people who make those decisions. Are you writing Gordon? Have you written Steve?

The next issue has BEEN done for quite some time, but Sheree Renée Thomas is not the publisher and does not determine publication or distribution. Please reach out to MRM for information about your subscription! And yes, I’m an editor and an author and have been so for three decades.
