Finally getting around to the halo TV series now it's on Netflix and they're really trying their best to lose me with the whole pointless Kwan ha arc (she's great. Her story sucks) and the needless chief romance. I don't mind that they've changed source but it's just poor, tropey, lazy storytelling
Especially considering a large proportion of their decisions to remove the award are overturned at appeal anyway. It's not an exercise in cost saving. It's a political transaction to appeal to and appease the spiteful demographic.
There are many more of us than them and there'd be even more of us if so many of us weren't enamoured of the remote idea that we might be able to be one of them one day. Got to break the enchantment.

I got all the way to the end pretty comfortably, bit of a challenge but I preserved, did my diligence and grinding and then got my ass kicked multiple times on the last level and then gave up and never went back. Good game, but the last level was just silly.
Sadly the republicans have shown that they clearly don't need a mind control chip to be controlled. Just a slight stroking of their spite glands now and then.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. It's a very cool idea. I will say though that it's not the easiest read. The prose and style are quite cold representing the nature of the main theme and character and it can get a little bit complicated to follow in parts but it's worth it imo.
If you fancy some space shenanigans I can recommend the ancillary series by Anne Leckie. Starting with Ancillary Justice.
