Ha, I think I remember that.

My curiosity and impatience made me turn to fansubs and go to niche anime shops, and seek out pen pals who'd send me raw TV recordings of SAILOR STARS from Japan (as they aired). The films were the first available, fansub-wise, and I got those from the long-gone Planet Anime in Rice Village, HTX.

I am thankful for the DiC dub for introducing me, but thanks to my generous father, I got to see the series entirely in Japanese, and uncut, before the rest of R, then S and SUPERS, were dubbed. So the original version is what I grew up with and watched the most, beginning with this formative film.

Growing up, I didn't see a lot of actors who looked like me in Western films and TV. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, though, became a familiar exception over the years, and he brought a lot of talent to each and every role, no matter the size.

I get why the media is focusing on citizens, women ("mothers") and children, but NO ONE deserves to be brutalized by ICE. Men do not deserve this inhuman treatment either, undocumented people do not deserve this treatment. There should be no qualifiers on calling for this to end.

Some SM fans have worked themselves into believing Uranus et al are "evil" in S, but just because the two teams have very different mindsets doesn't mean they dislike one another. As shown in S, Uranus believes in Moon the most.
