Currently at 34.8 fWAR and 41.7 bWAR, Chapman would need to age flawlessly to enter HOF consideration. If he were to make it, it would be a slam-dunk for him to go in as a Giant with the majority of his career and contributions having to come with us. Hopefully it happens!

In the first year of his contract, Chapman has a 125 wRC+ with 3.6 fWAR and 5.0 fWAR / 150 G pace. On a rate basis, he is our best position player and played a prominent role in allowing our next core to crystallize. It's so fun to watch him play with 🔒 defense and benefit from a scenery change.
