I don't disagree that PP QB is a big need for the team, and truthfully I don't hate that they're developing Drysdale to see if he can do it. I just wish Michkov was being given the same leniency and opportunity, Bobby Brink isn't going to be on the next great Flyers powerplay.
There's nuance to the comparison for sure, but it's still one player that's given opportunity to develop and another being told he has to earn it. If they're of equal importance to the future, why is the standard different?

Sure but if you're going to do a meritocracy it has to be for everyone. Drysdale gets unearned PP1 time because they're developing him, MM "has to earn it". If dogging it on a backcheck is a non starter, then everyone should miss a shift for it. Most of them have done it at some point.
