March 13/14 1941.
In 2 nights of bombing by 200 Luftwaffe bombers 45,000 people in the Scottish town of #Clydebank lost their homes and were displaced some never to return.
The death toll was officially placed at 528 at the time which was believed to be artificially deflated to protect morale.
