Books have unexpected origins. The genesis of my 2011 ghost story, THE NIGHT STRANGERS, was the Miracle on the Hudson in 2009. I knew there was a tale to be written about the pilot who WASN’T Sully Sullenberger. A few months later, I was in a dunk tank with naval aviators, researching the novel.
