Paramount's biggest ticket seller last year was a flop and somehow they can buy the studio that had seven of the top 20 movies? I never would have passed business school, I guess.

Yup. It's going to be like Disney buying Fox all over again. A major studio will be stripmined for IP.

Other folks in exhibition will call me crazy, but Netflix buying Warner Brothers really was the better option. They care about movies, fund cool films, and their theatrical team is great to work with. WB would have elevated Netflix's theatrical game. Paramount owning WB adds nothing to the industry.

Just got a looksie at the fully designed cover for my next graphic novel and it’s taking all my will power not to share it on social media yet. It’s sooooo good, though. I can’t wait to get this book out into the world.

I programmed an Audrey Hepburn series next month at the River Oaks Theatre, and you couldn't get me to touch BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, a movie I know sells out without any promotion, with a ten-foot pole because of Mickey Rooney's role in the film.

Also, it was an incredible experience to watch at the River Oaks Theatre when Skarsgård whips out his Skarshøg and the entire theater lost its freaking mind.

There's something incredibly cathartic about watching PILLION in a time when so much of our current administration's focus is on policing how people love or even exist. The film is an ultimately non-judgmental celebration of the very specific ways in which different people find connection. See it!
