ofc there are a good amount of "gamey" floating platforms in Pharloom too (take this example) but they're way rarer and are often complemented by chunks that are tied to the environment. makes them feel more like the exception and they blend in nicely imo
random observation:
In Silksong, Team Cherry does a big effort to attach most "floating platforms" to the environment, as opposed to Hollow Knight environments which often consist of very "gamey" platforms. This touch is partly why Pharloom feels so incredibly immersive to me
