This is incredibly sad. She came to speak at the University of Montana a couple years ago and I was lucky enough to sit down and talk to her one on one afterwards. As someone going through the Wildlife Biology program, she was an inspiration and an example to follow. She will be missed.

We have a coyote in Yellowstone who limps around road ways because people will feel bad and feed her. Once she's away from the road she walks normally though. We call her tripod.

Relatable

Doing pest detection and I found some Pine Sawflies. These are more than likely the native species we find here in Montana, but this sample will be sent in for DNA testing to know for sure. It's hard to tell whether this is our Pine Sawfly or a European Pine Sawfly for sure without DNA analysis.

TLDR; I'm breaking off 20+ years of friendship and it hurts, but ultimately it's probably for the better. I'm reconciling with the fact that a school shooting directly affected kids in my younger brothers friend group. I haven't slept well in days. I'm grateful for the friends I have who support me.

I know this kid. He's at the house a lot whenever I visit Denver. I shouldn't be getting calls from my siblings worrying about whether their friend was shot at school or not. Meanwhile I'm also catching flak from people I grew up with for saying CK was a shitty person and I won't mourn him.

If CK had his way, I'd have no rights as well as many other people I know. All of this while I'm processing the shooting at Evergreen Highschool. My younger brother had friends there. He called me distressed about a friend he couldn't reach after the shooting. His friend is unharmed luckily.

The past 2 weeks have been hitting me kinda hard. I grew up in a conservative town in a religious conservative household. I've watched old "friends" paint Charlie Kirk as a saint after his killing. To condone violence is one thing. To elevate him as a human is something else entirely.

Every day is judgement day with judgement dog.
