What’s wild to me is now Congress is so willing to give up anything they have in terms of power, influence and governance.
Like I know the majority of them couldn’t care less about us or democracy, but I would have assumed they’d at least recognize they’re bowing themselves into irrelevancy.

It wasn’t the defense itself, but an internal review by my committee to make sure I’m good to do my research. But I didn’t want to embarrass myself and they were so encouraging and kind! Feel much more confident in myself now.
