Boston DSA is calling on community members to show up and show out over the next 5 weeks & beyond, providing material support through food donations and fundraising, planning picket line social events with live music and food, hosting movie screenings, flyering shops to promote the boycott!

The baristas are facing:
- Poverty Wages: In many cities, their pay isn't enough to live on.
- Understaffing: Leading to burnout & unsafe working conditions.
- Union Busting: Instead of bargaining in good faith the company has spent millions on lawyers to fight its own employees' organizing efforts.

Back in 2022, I was proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with @sbworkersunited.org as Starbucks used violent and outrageous union busting tactics. Three years later, they are still using those same tactics. Starbucks is a global giant with massive profits.

It was wonderful to meet and hear from @duckworth.senate.gov and the pressing issues for the AAPI community and for our nation. TY NECAA and CAAL for organizing this event. It was wonderful to be in community with my fellow legislators Rep. Howard & Rep. Sangiolo. TY for your service Sen. Duckworth!

It was really meaningful to connect with fellow legislators Rep Sangiolo, Senator Ujifusa (RI), and Rep Sato (ME) to learn about their journeys into politics and each of our family’s path immigrating to and building a life in the US. I’m especially proud that we are also all progressive women!

De-densifying long-term care facilities reduces spreading of infectious disease, the need for frequent hospitalization, and improves care and dignity for older adults. Thank you Chair Stanley and Rep Montaño for organizing this tour!

Today I joined my colleagues in the Committee on Aging and Independence to tour Laurel Ridge Rehabilitation Center and the need to de-densify nursing homes, especially in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Question 3 is a public opinion advisory question that expresses our support for the people of Palestine, but implementation is up to the city. Voting Yes on 3 is an important way to make your voice heard.

VOTE YES on 3 to divest Somerville tax dollars out of companies complicit in the ongoing occupation, apartheid, and genocide in Palestine.

This includes divesting from surveillance technology and weapons manufacturers such as Lockheed Martin.
