The apocalyptic reports have come
true, dilute in our arterial solvent
the atrocities saturate our latent notebooks
we stay awake lambent
...
and we've become scientists of without
under force, out of water, across loading
with bearings, of us

On deciding to be a writer, Dionne Brand said, “I thought of life itself as difficult, and writing about life as much easier. Living was hard, so writing was better.”

last day to watch this incredible collection of film fragments by doplgenger (isidora ilić and boško prostran) curated by greg de cuir jr. at @eflux.bsky.social Yugoslav dissolution in the 1990s keeps on haunting me as we live within this catastrophe

Chairwoman Elaine Brown turns 83 today. She was the first & only woman to lead the Black Panther Party.
And she led it during its most turbulent time when Huey was exiled in Cuba & COINTELPRO had decimated its ranks.
She also oversaw the expansion of its survival programs.
Happy birthday to her
This @thedigradio.bsky.social episode with Minnesota organizers is excellent, especially how they talk about multi-racial, multi-issue organizing for the long-term.
I don't care if Congress authorizes War on Iran. NO WAR ON IRAN. I want people to fucking reclaim their morality.
Seems like the right time to share this again. Here’s Menelik Shabazz’s short film Blood A Go Run which was filmed at the Black People’s Day Of Action in ‘81 www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJdf...
