Chairwoman Elaine Brown turns 83 today. She was the first & only woman to lead the Black Panther Party.
And she led it during its most turbulent time when Huey was exiled in Cuba & COINTELPRO had decimated its ranks.
She also oversaw the expansion of its survival programs.
