A game animal refers to pretty much anything legally able to be hunted. A moose is a game animals. A coyote is a game animal. Why the separation of predators and prey /gen?

Predatory animals are often food items - bear is very common in my area. I'm not sure where the line of game animals should be drawn in these regards!

It's so simple to boil something down to good or bad but reality is unfortunately murky and grey...

I'd also like to add - if you think collecting bones or feathers has no impact on other wild animals, it does. Rabbits and other deer may rely on shed horns during winter, animals who shed antlers have been observed prancing around shed horn or bones. All we do touches all.

This also obviously does NOT include animals in need of protection! But getting twisted over hunting when you buy meat at a grocery is quite honestly not great and I unironically do wish you look into local hunters or butchers!

I'd rather get meat and leather and such from a hunter than support a major corporation, I dunno.. And it's not like wild animals do not kill simply because they can, that is a foolish idea

These attitudes develop I find from those who have never actually needed to rely on a natural resource to survive. This is the reality for many! Buying steak from the store does more damage than a dumbass taking a buck in the fall - please pick your battles!

Im gonna start a little discourse i think! If you feel hunting for any reason other than food is unethical or non-compatible with being a therian - how do you pharse those who still rely on leather to cloth themsleves? Meat from bears? Seals? Those who do not have the luxury of a store?
