I checked out a set of graphic novels from my public library and noticed this morning as they became due that it said I had two copies of the same volume checked out on two different days. After about an hour of searching all over my house and gaslighting myself, the volume was marked wrong. 😑

And I went with it!

Yeah some of the versions and editions and stuff get a bit screwy for me on the search. I actually was initially interested in the AI recommendations, but it didn’t do much for me either. I want something that’s easy to import to, track, and share reviews with people. I don’t need data.

This one is Reading Journey: Book Tracker and they said if it goes well it will maybe be an Android option later. So, hmm. Book Buddy didn’t really do it for me either.

It’s the Wheel of Time series! A long fight against evil in which men are forbidden from using magic because if they do they go insane and an order of women who specialize in magic and making sure men stay in check. Long series, lots of world building. Much more than I simplified it! Haha

I’m about halfway through this one and I’m feeling it. Noticed the online ratings are matching what you said, so I’m going to hang in there. Times are tough right now though. 🤣

So, do you like to use a computer or app? I found an app that I think is only on iOS but only for a couple of days so I'm not sure if I can recommend it yet. I'm searching too though.

I was a big proponent of switching to The StoryGraph and it's kind of falling out for me also. I liked not being on Amazon/Goodreads, but I also found I really didn't care about the data after all. It still feels a little clunky to me. Also, no one looks at my reviews EVER as far as I know! Haha.

Currently on Path of Daggers by Robert Jordan. Longest series ever (for me)!

I have no friends who will join BlueSky, but I'm doing this anyway. Here goes talking into the void.
