Had a grand time @tag45.bsky.social, and especially enjoyed collaborating with @bromolloy.bsky.social for @owenexiehurcum.bsky.social and Niamh’s session! See y’all next year!

So very well-deserved - Heather’s talk was fascinating and also featured the Edderton standing stone and associated features (one of my favourite Scottish sites) πŸ™Œ and she referred to skyscape archaeology in her talk - it was fab! An excellent decision by @tag45.bsky.social

This past weekend I had the pleasure to be for the first time at @tag45.bsky.social. A great forum where I had the chance to talk about maps, experience, affect and difference in the Talayotic landscape.

@lornarichardson.bsky.social Getting to the Bottom of Things made me feel introspective. Child of the 70s? Named Kenneth? Wears a tweedy suit and tie, even to @tag45.bsky.social. Drives a RangeRover only because #LandRover was too expensive? Aieee, my career has been shaped by #CarryOn films!

Aaargh, one tweet went missing from that last thread ... which was to thank both our amazing keynote speakers, Ian Hodder and Gill Hey! Two incredibly thought-provoking addresses, we hugely appreciate their agreeing to come along!

A colour photo showing the view across the beach to the sea early Sunday monring. In the foreground, the beach is empty, but covered in footprints and other traces of mostly human and canine activity. The sea, across the middle of the photo, looks somewhat bracing. The cloudy sky is hiding the sun, whose presence is indicated by a bright white splodge just left of centre.

A colour photograph looking vaguely eastish across the beach and sea at Bournemouth from a vantage point overlooking the coast. It looks pretty cold and empty from a distance, but was in fact surprisingly busy despite the early hour (about 9am on a Sunday in December).

Excellent @tag45.bsky.social keynote from #GillHey telling the story of #commercial #archaeology's chaotic ride though the 90s, tough times in the 2000s and where we are today.
And a good chance to remember #TimDarvill, and how important his contributions were
