Don't love the needless corporate synergy of Cho having Hulk armour, but my boy Darkhawk is looking good

But hey, Imperial Guardians issue 2 has some nice covers by Sean Izaakes and German Peralta.
The Peralta one is particularly nice tbh. Would be great if we could get him drawing Darkhawk in the spotlight/in action
Imperial Guardians is a 5 issue mini now. I don't think that was originally stated. And Exiles hasn't even been solicited yet despite being teased for January/February.
I feel like something major changed. Might explain why there's nothing on Phoenix either.
Might have got a few more preorders if they titled it Guardians Of The Galaxy for a bit of brand recognition but....yeah.
This new cosmic line was dead on arrival. Imperial being lacklustre didn't help either.
Truly, Marvel's whole new cosmic line is a dud:
- Black Panther only ever intended to be 4 issues
- Imperial Guardians demoted from ongoing to 5 issues before release
- Planet She Hulk already has a filler artist by issue 3
- Exiles still hasn't even been solicited
- Oh and there's Nova I guess
It's hard to get excited or invested in new Marvel comics when you're lucky if a series even reaches 10 issues. Imperial Guardians has already been demoted to a 5 issue mini from an ongoing and issue 1 hasn't even dropped.
Put some respect on the 'hawk's name.
If i remember right theres a version where its Masque's face reflected in his mask too

We already knew he was going to be a member of the Imperial Guardians, but it's nice to see he's clearly going to have some key plot points too

The 90s were a hell of a drug!
They also fought a couple of times, forgot to add (with regular Eddie Brock Venom). I liked it better than any-time Venom fought Spider-Man. One of the last good arcs after Darkhawk fell from in his last 25 issues.
Such an odd choice. Why would a Hulk need a full mech suit?
Glad I'm not the only one that didn't enjoy Imperial. Nothing happened for most of it - didnt even bother picking up the finale!
The best parts of the whole thing were the Guardians/She-Hulk one shots for me. Hickman really dropped the ball on this one

I do wonder why Marvel are branding these guys as Imperial Guardians though rather than GotG
If the recent one shot is anything to go by, looks like Abnett will be looking to change his origins again
