Researchers identify lost genetic messages as a target for treating dementia Researchers at the Francis Crick Institute and UCL have shown that genetic messages are misplaced in nerve cells in a model of Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia.

Researchers at the Crick and UCL have developed laboratory models of dementia, including Alzheimer's, to show that certain genetic messages are misplaced in diseased nerve cells.

The finding could offer a potential target for new treatments for neurodegeneration.
