19.04.2025 23:03 — 👍 48 🔁 26 💬 0 📌 017. I’m lazy, why would I want to make things harder for myself? ok that’s partly a joke- most of the time, the answer is no (but of course I do at times. apart from practice and consistency, how else are you gonna improve)

16. drawing people is "easy." been primarily drawing just that for decades. fat birds are fun to draw. and if you want a dumb answer, a stick figure is the easiest thing to draw. a cube, a circle, even.
13.04.2025 22:19 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 015. perspective or anything that requires more technical skill, really. rooms are hard. set design is hard. I'm not very good at colours and values. idk, drawing in general has become difficult for me, since I don't really do it all that much.

14. I’m taking a break from art, so I haven’t been trying to improve on anything lately. occasionally, I’ll doodle something to maintain some drawing ability
09.04.2025 20:52 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 013. I’m on super hiatus
09.04.2025 20:49 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 012. it takes me from 5 days to several months, depending on how motivated I am, how strong of an image/idea I have about it, and how technical I have to be (eg perspective)

09.04.2025 04:21 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I'm older and wiser and more tired, so I try to keep a cool head about it lol. also I straight up do not like being online anyway
09.04.2025 04:20 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 09c. I've gone through periods where I would draw for attention and it sucks. drawing for engagement is a trap because it's a cycle of drawing as fast as possible (bad) and you become so dependant on it that if there's a falter in numbers, you lose your mind (super bad).
09.04.2025 04:20 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 09b. there's a lot I draw that I keep to myself and will never see the light of day, but I do wish I could polish some off to share with others. I like to share what goes on in my head sometimes
09.04.2025 04:20 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 09a. I prefer to draw what I want, since I like having full creative control over what I make. I don't like being told what to do lmao. I also like having the ability to drop a thing I don't want to work on anymore without having someone beat my head over with a stick for it
09.04.2025 04:20 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 09. idk why, but I'm not sure if the question is asking if I like drawing what I want/what others want (eg commission, gift, assignment, etc), drawing and keeping it for myself/sharing with others, or drawing for my own fulfilment/drawing for attention/approval. I'll answer all interpretations.
09.04.2025 04:20 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 08. hard to say
09.04.2025 02:37 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 07. I'd love to say that I draw professionally, but I haven't been able to break into the industry due to a mix of personal and outside forces. in short, I draw for fun.
09.04.2025 02:23 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 06. I can't draw backgrounds (nature and manmade) all that well and it goes back to lack of practice! I put all my eggs into drawing figures instead of rounding out with everything else. like, I can rotate things in my mind, but it's hard for me to do that with rooms and spaces
09.04.2025 02:16 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 05. I don't use refs all the time, but I especially do for more polished work. practice and using references to builds up your knowledge and muscle memory in knowing how to draw stuff. when in doubt, use references. never hurts to.
09.04.2025 02:05 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 04. it's always been people and clothes. in high school, I wanted to go to fashion school, but that never panned out. now I draw dudes in drab suits
09.04.2025 00:03 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 03. as previously mentioned, I went to school for it, but my concentration wasn't in illustration, funnily enough. I was one of the sculpture kids smoking cigarettes in the metal fab. studio yard lol
