Full co-sign! I assume that if this were widely known, I would have far fewer requests to turn my e-mail submissions (sent only when explicitly allowed by the journal) into scholastica submissions.
The law review submission process isn’t know for being a joyride, but I have to say, having to pony up your own $$$ to submit as a non-affiliated author makes not hearing back markedly more unpleasant.

“A Governor’s Duty to Ask” looks at states where the governor has the power to request advisory opinions from the state supreme court, and argues that a healthy respect for the state’s separation of powers requires governors to exercise that authority.
I’m pleased that my Georgia Law Review article is now out! I did a content analysis of every state constitutional amendment from 1960 to the present that altered any criminal procedure protection—which revealed how few states even *tried* to ratify the Warren Court’s criminal procedure holdings.
My article, "Pluralism in State Constitutional Law," is now published with the Georgia Law Review! It explores different ways state courts interpret state constitutions and variations in how explicit courts are regarding this interpretive pluralism!
