Watched this today. Recorded in 1983 at the El Mocambo in Toronto, Vaughn and his band Double Trouble just rip it up in an awesome set. We truly lost one of the best Texas bluesmen back in 1990 in that helicopter crash. #Musicsky

I boycotted the #WorldCup in 2022 because Qatar is a human rights violator. I didn't want to boycott 2026, but because of what Gianni Infantino did today by turning the draw into The Donald Trump Show, I have no choice but to do so. I may have to boycott the #Olympics next year as well.

Netflix to buy Warner Bros. film and streaming assets in $72 billion deal Netflix announced it's reached a deal to buy WBD, bringing a swift end to a dramatic bidding process that also involved Paramount Skydance and Comcast.

Although I am glad Netflix won the battle over Paramount Skydance, I am worried about the price of streaming going up as well what will happen to channels like TCM. #Moviesky #TCMParty

Clearance issues. A lot of the programming is not cleared for people in other countries. Canadians can get PBS Passport. However, it will be limited to certain programs like they will not get Frankie Drake since that is a Canadian show. There is a cable channel in the UK called PBS America.

As much as I am happy Paramount didn’t get it, this is worrying about what will happen to TCM. Time for filmmakers to defend the house again.

Finished this. It's on PBS Passport and I highly recommend it. If you love the Yacht Rock of the late 70s/early 80s, you'll love this. They have released a couple of original albums, but they are better as a cover band. #Musicsky

I am sorry I am not posting Christmas music like I usually do around this time. Right now, I am dealing with circumstances that will last through the whole month. Christmas has been more or less canceled for me, but I'll be alright.

When I was at work tonight, I listened to Clear + Vivid with Alan Alda where he talks with former cast members from MASH. I was raised on the show. Sometimes I will watch it for sitcom therapy. #TVSky

I have the holiday blues, so Tinsel and Lights by Tracey Thorn is my go to album. I will have this one on repeat.
