People need to name Kennedy’s desire and goal of killing as many ‘unfit’ poor, sick, disabled, Black and brown people as possible—this is the only reasonable conclusion one can make from his ideas and policies.

💧If drinking water is hard try: ice chips, fruits like melons or cucumbers, herbal teas, broths, or electrolyte powders in water
💧Keep your space cooler by blocking sunlight (blackout curtains, aluminum foil, cardboard boxes)
💧Hang a damp sheet in front of a fan
💧Stay low(since heat rises)

Graphic with Project LETS logo on the bottom, and it reads, "Extreme Heat and Psychiatric Medications"
Psychiatric meds can impair the body's ability to sweat, regulate temperature, or sense thirst. As temperatures rise, folks on psychiatric medications are at higher risk of heat stroke, dehydration, and medical crises-- especially antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and some antidepressants.

Many are forced onto meds without (informed) consent or support to taper safely.
Extreme weather is yet another way systemic neglect becomes lethal.

Many of us—especially multiply marginalized Mad, ND, Disabled, & psychiatric survivor communities—have been told that plant medicine is unsafe, inaccessible, or incompatible with our bodies & experiences. This panel invites us to challenge those narratives to reclaim herbal medicine on our own terms

Together, we’ll explore how we can work with plant medicine to support us in navigating altered states, easing chronic pain, and nourishing our nervous systems.
We’ll connect with ancestral knowledge systems that have often been stolen or suppressed through colonial, imperial, & carceral violence.

We view plants not as a replacement for psychiatry or tools to “fix” people, but as a practice of intentional relationality & a deep medicine in its own right.
This panel is part of our commitment to building & sustaining community-rooted, non-pathologizing approaches to mental health & healing.

On 4/5, the police responded to a crisis call & shot autistic teen Victor Perez 9 times just seconds after arriving on the scene. He died shortly after.
No amount of training or funding will ever make the police safe crisis responders.

RFK praising a doctor for spreading measles is the logical conclusion in a place that intentionally tried to eradicate its native population with disease. At this point getting diseases is not accidental, it’s their will we be diseased. The blood is at the root!
