I was a witness to a car crash a few weeks ago. 4 cars totalled, one dead (60+), one seriously injured (22), 6-8 people injured or traumatized.

Yeah. Once quality of life starts to go, it's not worth it.

I used to be able to read better than I do now.

Now... the voices in my head tend to drown out the text I'm reading and slows things way down if I'm supposed to follow along and understand it.

Audible can go really fast, but it starts clipping terribly. I find that 1.5 is fast enough without sacrificing audio quality.

Don't get me wrong...

The speakers do an excellent job of enunciating their words, using clear diction, and use inflections clearly.

It's just sooooo slow....

I was able to put on the fursuit head, look stupid and take a picture while the audio book reader was taking a breath.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and audio books. For shits and giggles I wanted to find out how they sound at 1x speed.
