Watched the Street Fighter (2026) trailer

For some reason, I just received an email from Google Play for the first time in 12 years. I haven’t even owned an Android device since 2013.

This isn’t a callout post at anyone in particular, it’s just me noticing a general trend in the community.

I’m shocked at how many Guilty Gear Strive players think “2026” means “January 1st, 2026” in regard to the 2.0 update. I don’t think a lot of them are ready for when Strive stops getting updates in around a year.

I can’t wait for Best Fighting Game of 2026 award to go to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Trump and Epstein DLC while Tōkon doesn’t even get a nomination

I really hope Deadpool’s ultimate ability in Marvel Rivals is him jumping out of your television and chasing you around your house.

Ella Mental in Invincible VS looks crazy. Also I’m glad to hear it’s coming on April 30th.

I’m not sure if 4G LTE is slower than I remember it being, or if modern websites are just a lot more bloated than they were back in 2018. Probably the latter but still.

Whenever my coworkers ask what games I play, they always look disappointed when I say that I mostly play fighting games

It’s ironic that Rayman 2 is coming to NSO considering I just put it on my list of games to play in 2026.

As for the SFIII character, I feel like it could be Dudley (unless Balrog returns) or Makoto. I don’t see Sean and Sakura being in the same season, though I think he’ll return. Q coming back would be crazy, but I feel like anything could happen after Ingrid.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my predictions for S4 of Street Fighter 6. I think Vega and Sakura are guaranteed, but I also feel like we’re getting another Third Strike character and a SFV character. For the latter, I feel like it’s probably Menat but could be Falke for plot reasons.

I’m excited!

Unlike many other multiplayer genres, it’s the easiest thing in the world to play competitive fighting games without the One Big Tournament. It’s one on one. There are so many ways to supplant and replace EVO, so there’s no reason to be loyal to it

Imagine if it was like Spotify Wrapped and you get a custom message from Lightning McQueen because you were in the top 1% of Cars 3: Driven to Win players

I know the Saudi Evo buyout sucks, but this is why it’s important to support your local FGC if you can. If the mainstream FG tourneys end up bending to the will of blood money, then it’s up to the community to sustain itself.

It’s really funny to me that people think Vampire Savior at EVO 2026 HAS to be hinting at a new Darkstalkers game, as if Capcom isn’t already struggling to make 4 Street Fighter 6 characters a year.
