Finally, back to creating. I wanted to expand my range of values in this sketch. I tend to gravitate toward the mid tones, and I want that to change. It was a good exercise. The other photos are of my new sketchbook case from @dava22, on IG. I really love it!
Sometimes, the best result is learning. This is day eight. I will revisit this again.
Day 7/100

It’s been a while for graphite. Created for a group review submission. Rusty skills, but fun!
Working on quick rendering locations for some vacation drawing later this year.
Three new watercolor paper tins/blocks. More art on the way! Also, my February assignment is a 4x6 graphite drawing of a house, presented for group critique, so look for updates. 😊
Happy Groundhog Day!
I got the Natsume brass palette for Christmas and was debating what paints to include. The artist who is mentoring me introduced me to A. Gallo paints, handmade in Italy. I caved, but I’m not mad about it. 😁😁
A little something to keep the momentum going into February.
Thank you! 😊

Project: 1 tiny sketch for each day of January. Each is 2”x2” and must be completed in 10 minutes. Structures are affected by the time constraints. I need more practice and to find ways to better simplify. Here are days 9 and 10.

Thanks for finding me. 🥰
