E.g, 3 antagonists that I hate for the things they've done to my fav chrs, but rank high based on how well they're written:
1. Sky FC/1st, Weissmann
2. FFXV, Ardyn: he's one hell of an antagonist, I just can't help liking him in the end.
3. Trails, Rufus. (He's hot though, I'm biased😛)

B/c as an eng lit major I'm trained to spot unreliable narrators, and those stories usually have more interesting chrs, protagonist and villain both. So i guess it goes down to can you make me feel bad for you, are you the narrow-minded, ignorant type I hate irl anyway, are you a rounded chr etc.
