and so I shut off the game to go read. Best thing I've done for myself in a while. FF14 has had chance after chance of improving and it's making small steps towards it but I think I've outgrown it. I'm tired. And it's only feeling like a chore anymore.

I was doing solo deep dungeon and died on floor 60 smthg to a one shot aoe that I would die on a hill over that I wasn't in it...and I just had a lightbulb moment of "wait I don't want to be spending my time like this, this isn't worth my time"

Oh. Well this explains things.

Out of five days this past week, I only got one that wasn't lost to chronic something one or another. Apologies for lack of stream, I ended up just going to touch grass (rock and sand really) instead bc it was the one day I could do errands.

My cycle has been really rough this round, getting tired so easily and in pain. Hoped this week I'd stream at least 3 times but maybe I'll just hope on one for sure.

Under the heading "They Will Call You Violent" the text reads: If your tactics disrupt the order of things under capitalism, you may well be accused of violence, because violence is an elastic term often deployed to vilify people who threaten the status quo. Conditions that the state characterizes as "peaceful" are, in reality, quite violent. Even as people experience the violence of poverty the torture of imprisonment, the brutality of policing, the denial of health care, and many other violent functions of this system, we are told we are experiencing peace, as long as everyone is cooperating. When state actors refer to "peace," they are really talking about order. And when they refer to peaceful protest, they are talking about cooperative protest that obediently stays within the lines drawn by the state. The more uncooperative you are, the more you will be accused of aggression and violence. It is therefore imperative that the state not be the arbiter of what violence means among people seeking justice.

Be careful, friends, when you read accounts of what is happening in LA. We will hear a lot about violence, and it is essential to remember who is defining that term.
