Lots of structural issues with that pool. However, my daughters were able to swim competitively from a young age for a USA team thanks to a very dedicated coach who recently passed away. He pushed county commissioners for funding of maintenance on that little six lane 25 yard pool for years.
Oh, I wish we had a local Y. My rural county has tried several times to get a Y here. Unfortunately, a particular private gym owner has managed to put the kibash on the building of a Y. The only indoor pool we have is about 50 years old at our community college.

I emailed my Congressman and two Senators (all GOP) yesterday re Venezuela. I’ve been writing them for months asking the question you pose above. The responses I’ve received are copy/paste non answers. Most times, however, they don’t reply at all. They are truly MIA.
