It was a bit weird waking up before the sun this morning.
Yesterday was also the first day I did not wear my winter jacket. Same thing today though I was a bit chilly heading to the green line.
I really should get new hiking shoes for next winter. Mine are nearly 6 years old. I bought them *right* before lockdown.
Spring is here. Wore my gym shoes to the gym instead of my hiking shoes.
Totally underestimated how icy my neighborhood would be. Not fun walking to the green line this morning. My hiking shoes are 6 years old so I don't think they have as much traction as they used to.
Thankfully I did not fall.
π₯² got on a C train at Government Center just as the #mbta announced a C line specific delay. Disabled train in Brookline.
I missed my "early" train at 7:35 and the next train hadn't turned around at Cleveland Circle yet. On top of that there were signal delays that started as soon as the #mbta opened this morning. Ended up 15 minutes late.
Got a hot chocolate and a bagel to go from Zaftig's as a treat after meeting with a new (private pay) PT provider. Burned by tongue with the first sip. Still worth it.
Those pics were at 7:30. Here's 11 am. (Upper pane, lower pane)
View from the 3rd floor.
(Even though I never plan on traveling, especially now that I'm on a weekly schedule)
I really hope I don't lose power. I have 3 Crohn's med pens in the fridge - if they all warm up to room temperature then 1 is spoiled (2 week shelf life once warmed up). I'm glad I got a branded insulated bag for travel that came with a couple ice packs. Put those in the freezer just in case. π€
I left my account unused because the MBTA only posts delays on twitter for some reason. They never moved here. And they have threads too but don't post delays there either. π€· It's like each of their platforms is siloed from the other.
(I still have a twitter account because of the T-alerts. For some reason the #mbta comms team consistently post about delays and service changes ONLY on twitter.)

Carried a load of laundry that goes into the dryer down to the basement. Downstairs neighbor still has clothes in the dryer (still warm) so I brought my clothes up. Don't want to have a dryer load sitting in the wash because neighbor hasn't moved their clothes yet.
At the end Cary described how it was a box office bomb but once it came out on VHS it became a classic family movie everyone could watch. I didn't see it until the early 00s.
I wasn't part of the fencing club but my friend was. They did a live reenactment of the Princess Bride in the school auditorium that I went to.
I'm glad I went to see Cary Elwes last night. Trying to remember exactly how I saw the Princess Bride for the first time. I think a school friend showed it to me during a sleepover.
I used to go to Panera every week and try to work on writing. I still remember certain shows at the Wilbur or Wang would mean the place got extra crowded.
Gonna see Cary Elwes tonight at the Wilbur. Debating if I should see how crowded Panera is before the show.
I love that the pair of beats headphones I bought to replace the older pair I'd worn to the gym one time too many is actually more uncomfortable. /s
I miss Boston Beerworks. Surprised/sad that their spot on Canal Street is still empty. They're only a block away from the Garden.
Black and White. Trying "color splash" on Snapseed is hard, but I wanted to try using it on the Paramount sign.
It can't all be doom and gloom and medical expenses. Sometimes you just need to turn around and snap a Silver Line bus in front of the Paramount theater on Washington. Edit for #52frames and original. In true #mbta fashion they were bunching.
Not that August is guaranteed to be less mid for you but I'm a big fan of celebrating half birthdays instead.
(Usually only elections in the first week of May are Town elections, as opposed to fate of the Commonwealth/Country elections.)
The bill shuffle for this month got delayed but I can't avoid it.
If you can help me pay bills, I would truly appreciate it. I'm a caregiver for my disabled mom, going on 5 years without a paycheck. (She doesn't have to pay me, but the state won't.) Goal is $300.
If you can help:
Dentist called me. $810 per tooth (it's 50% covered) so I'm gonna get the one that hasn't worn out yet taken care of first. Should probably have them replace the one they re cemented as well so they're uniform, but I can hold off for now.
Phone rep could confirm my coverage but only offered for me to clear my cache and log in that way. (But I tried *edge* and still got the same result) They had my previous address so no idea if they sent info on the price/coverage to replace the crowns.
Tried logging into Delta dental and it says my coverage isn't active. I paid $100 up front for them to re cement the crown. No idea if I actually have insurance. I'll have to *call*
Also wondering if I ever updated my address with them. π«£
Huh. the sports medicine doctor, the physical medicine and rehab doctor, the orthopedic surgeon and the vascular specialist are listed. (The magazine says "chosen by their peers")
Guess I'm lucky. Too bad my symptoms stump them.
