Could extreme ocean environments hold the key to locating mysterious shark birthing grounds? | Marine Biological Association New research from the Marine Biological Association (MBA) aims to shed light on one of the greatest mysteries of the natural world – where do sharks go to

Could extreme ocean environments unlock the mystery of #shark birthing grounds? 🦈🌊 New MBA research links baby #WhaleSharks to #OxygenMinimumZones. These areas may provide safety from predators & a rich food supply, crucial for the survival of neonates.

DEI isn’t a feel-good sloganβ€”it’s data-backed, peer-reviewed, and fundamental to better science. NSF bending to political pressure means ignoring decades of research. Science advances by evidence, not executive orders.

Exactly. Every. Single. NSF grant needs to have a "Broader Impacts" statement, so this makes whatever this ridiculous email order is apply to ALL NSF WORK. Insane.

I was a Mystic Aquarium-UCONN REU student back in 2022 and it was the best experience I could've asked for! This program not only gave me the knowledge and tools needed to pursue a PhD but the confidence and inspiration to! I highly recommend sharing this opportunity with your network!! (link below)
