We played with 3 of the new races from Thunder's Edge. All in all, it was very enjoyable.

The Yssaril Tribes just played a heck of an Agenda response card. Vote yes, and he gets Speaker (meaning he'll grab Imperial and stay on Mecatol Rex for another round w/ 4 mechs), or everyone loses their mechs.
All our mechs (14 in total) got downgraded to a single infantry.

Rome just paid for another Regression ☠️☠️

Aaaaaaaaaand Civil Disorder just reduced me down to 3 cities. I'm going to stall on the AST chart, but at least I was able to make 4 more tech purchases.

And the following round did not go well. The players in the middleof the score track decided to keep us in the lead from gaining more cities.

Oh wow, Rome with Provincial Empire just stole 2 trade good cards from me. That knocked my trade-in from 243....to 147.

Not just 6, but 7 tech purchases! Somehow, I managed to get 2 full sets of Resin and Copper

Celts & Carthage (me) have emerged as the front runners (Rome bought a Regression card). A bunch of us are set up to hit a wall for the late Bronze Age, but if I can pull off a good trade round, I might be able to buy the min 6 cards.

That was a rough round, Treachery, Slave Revolts, City Riots, Famine, and a Minor Uprising.

The borders have certainly been established. So far, only 1 or 2 minor conflicts. This is the big round for everyone to get 5VP in order to advance to the next age.

Damn. Yeah, this is 100% accurate. I've got 3/5 of these, but it's 5/5 for my wife (she'd say 7/5 because there were multiple repeats).

Won with $461 tonight with Pipeline. I think I'm getting the hang of it now.

It's not Thursday, but any night is #GameNight when your friends are in town.
Tried a new one tonight, John Company. It's really different for a competitive game in that everyone is trying to support the East India Trading Company, but in their own unique ways that are most profitable to them.

We see toxic masculinity used against both men and women. The best example I can think of is the overly protective father refusing to permit his daughter to grow up by threatening every boy she tries to date.

Yes, misogyny is a hatred of women. But the word is defined by the recipient, not by source. Whereas toxic masculinity describes the source and not the recipient.
It's why we also have the words Misandry & Misanthropy, and the term Toxic Femininity (although not as widely used.
