I couldn’t agree more with this. I miss having a site like deviantart, where I could take the time to look through art galleries and interact with artists on a more personal level. Nowadays, posting art feels like it’s being fed into a void.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

In the last month, Marin has had their gender affirming surgery pulled out of reach, and now they’ve been laid off.

I’m doing what I can to support them here but if anyone has any help they can offer

It's insane. Each day gets worse, and we're still expected to show up at our jobs, do the work, and act like there's no problem. All while the world is burning because the baby-in-office can't be controlled.

It feels like we've gone through 10 years in the past one. It's just too much, and yet still nothing is getting done to stop this madness.

Work just laid off all their seasonals 2 weeks early. I'm out of a job on Friday.

I don't know how to keep coping with this.
