Diversity is a key to resilience and evolution of human beings.

Americas value is its diversity. I understand there're people who are afraid of colorful pictures and prefer simple monochrome pictures, but in this modern world, it's so unrealistic to live like that, unless living in the no man's land because at the end of the day, every human being is diverse.

In my generation, the first thing we learned about the USA at school was that the country is called "a melting pot". Since Japan is not the case, I had no idea what it meant and I think most children were the same. But I still remember how fantastic it sounded to me.
