I think the author of this piece obviously written before did not listen to Pope Leo at the end of his General Audience this week.

Pope Leo leans on proxies to condemn Iran war The pontiff's public restraint in denouncing the conflict has opened space for other church leaders to lead that moral charge. So far, several cardinals have moved quickly to fill it.

I wonder what McSweeney’s persuasion and influence was on Mandelson’s appointment? This, of course, does not take blame away from Starmer but would indicate his weakness and lack of integrity and McSweeney’s power in No 10. All conjecture of course!

Poor Pup. He’s traumatised. He needs a special treat just for after bath time.

Reform is critical. Second jobs out a requirement to live in your constituency home when not in the House. To have weekly surgeries. If this was implemented would Farage continue to *lead* Reform or would that commitment to his constituency be not worth his ambitions.

Simons had a sterling academic background. And all the talent to have been an asset. Shame on him for his lack of moral judgment in attempting to destroy two of our best journalists. Accountability? Is there any? If not there should be…..

Being rational does not unfortunately stop weakness. And yes his own decisions have got him here.

I find this unbelievably sad. Epstein’s net was so extensive. His ability to groom use and manipulate was boundless. Anyone who
he *touched* he destroyed from the most vulnerable to the most powerful.

Can MacSweeney’s puppet become the puppeteer? Or was he always simply an empty vessel to be *used* for other people’s ambitions.

I’ve never been able to *read* him. Unusual for me. I came to the conclusion there was nothing to read or the man has no congruence. And then it was the donors the clothes the specs that got me.

I agree. It was *use* over any form of integrity. I have always thought Starmer was ruthless and ambitious. Look at the way he acted on the opposition front bench in relation to his ambitions. Who used who? MacSweeney and Starmer or vice versa.

However angry Starmer is it does not stop the fact that he has *poor* judgment. This coming from a senior lawyer is not what you would expect and worsens the situation. His reliance on MacSweeney proves the point. Starmer is simply ‘out of his depth’.
